1 Cup of ice
3/4 Cup organic canned pumpkin
Approximately 2 Cups almond milk (unsweetened is best if possible!)
1/2 Tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 Scoop vanilla protein powder
1 Tsp. maple syrup
Blend until smooth and enjoy :)
(Whipping cream on top if you are treating yourself and are okay with dairy)
Something that I have come to learn over these past few weeks is that there are so many alternatives out there. Instead of saying "I can't cut that out of my diet", recently I have been making the effort to find similar foods that are more nutrient dense and have less of an inflammatory response in the body and substituting in those foods. And you know what? It's actually easy to do, it's just a matter of actually doing it! Recently I gave up coffee and have found it much easier than I anticipated it being. I substitute coffee with Teecino (coffee alternative) and with tea.
