This is a perfect dessert! It is loaded with healthy fats along with a good serving of protein. These together keep me full for the remainder of the night so I don't have to urge to reach for a snack.
Here is the latest recipe for one serving:
1/3 cup of full fat coconut milk
1.5 tablespoons of almond butter
1 raw egg
1 scoop of chocolate whey protein powder
Blend together until smooth and put in the freezer for 45min to one hour
Remove and enjoy!
I have been making a very strong effort recently to sprint once a week. Some of the benefits of sprinting are an increase in growth hormone and testosterone (we are all short on the stuff), increased muscle growth, increased bone density, and of course a great conditioning (cardio) workout without the elevated cortisol levels. When was the last time that you truly ran has hard as you can?
These workouts do not need to be long (time or distance). I usually sprint in 100 meter intervals, walk back, and repeat 5-7 times. Here is me sprinting on Canada Day...my dog wasn't as interested.
Friday morning, after some "bulletproof" coffee of course, we set out to do a hike called Goat Lake. It is not super long, 13km, round trip, but there is a section of the hike where you gain 400m elevation in 2.5km. This made for an intense 45 minutes or so. Here are a few photos from the hike:
