Things I am personally working on and have been working hard at this past week:
~ Exercising and pushing myself harder
~ Eating well and drinking enough water every day (I personally don't think I drink enough H2O!)
~ Along with eating well, I was inspired by a good friend to do a RESET challenge and will be starting a 5 day challenge as soon as my protein bars and shakes come (any day now!). After I complete my challenge, I'm going to run one for whoever might be interested! I will post most info soon :)
~ Being a good friend and wife to my other half
~ Creating fermented drinks (I.E. soda's and Kombucha with bacterial cultures)...the cherry cream soda I made is actually quite good, the Rootbeer not so much. That one ended up being poured down the drain but it was still fun to try. Guess this means I will have to try it again and see if I can improve it!
~ Getting things done NOW. Not procrastinating like I usually do. I've actually found it feels really good to be able to tick little annoying tasks off my list of things to do! This also frees up my mind and makes me feel more at ease.
~ Taking time for myself. After a long day at the hospital my routine has been to have a tea, and a bubble bath and crawl into bed. I wouldn't be able to do my job as a nurse if I didn't take care of me first.
~ Being a better me, taking the time to appreciate life. The little things like all the amazing people in my life, friends, family, my dog :)
This weekend Joel and I were able to go for a little Mountain getaway. I am so grateful to have such an amazing guy to do these things with!
This is not a photo of us but it is the same company (Alpine Rafting) and river (kicking horse). The same place we went :) just don't have any photos to share of this!)
Yesterday (rafting day) was also a feast day for Joel and myself. We allow ourselves to have a cheat day once every 2 weeks, followed by a day of fasting. Believe it or not both days are challenging! It's a challenge to decide what you want to eat for your cheat day, where you will buy it, and do we both agree!? More challenging though is the fasting day. We did quite well though made it to 4:30 p.m. then had some lean protein, salad and a small smoothie :)
Have a great week everyone!
Lots of Love,
