What is Stevia?
Stevia is about 200 times sweeter than sugar so a little bit goes a long way. Keep this in mind if you use stevia in any of your favourite recipes. When you over do it the taste is not very pleasant...trust me!
If you are anything like me the first thing you think of when it comes to a zero calorie sweetener is "is it safe?". The short answer is yes!
There have been a few studies on stevia that have all proven to be safe for human consumption. In fact stevia has shown to actually have many health benefits associated with it.

How to Use Stevia
You can purchase stevia in two main forms. A liquid and a powder. I personally have never used the liquid stuff so I cannot comment. I have however used the powdered form of stevia many times and love it!
Stevia might come across as expensive as it costs $10-$15 for a little jar however due to it's extreme sweet concentration that little jar stretches a long long way.
If you are looking for an alternative to sugar there is no better option than stevia. Zero calories, tastes great (in my opinion), and even has some health benefits.
